The fact that he is so young and so well versed in creationist dogma is alarming. He appears to have been home-schooled in AiG/Carl Baugh material. If you can stomach it, there are 5 more, each lasting around 10 minutes.

I've tried searching for the thread using his name Arden but can't find anything. It's the first time I've come across him. The fact he's so young is scary. Surely this can't be how AiG and co. want our children to turn out ?

It's probably not how they want their kids to turn out, but that's what they're gonna get. Creationism - and by extension Intelligent Design - are science stoppers. I read (over at Fundies Say The Darnedest Things, I believe) that his reason for not allowing critical comments is that he "can't tolerate lies". I have this suspicion, call it a conspiracy theory if you like, that the people at the top understand how important science is to our lives, but they also have latched on to the idea that if they can get the unwashed masses to reject it it makes them easier to manipulate with mythical psychobabble.  My suspicion is that if the theocrats were to get the whole country to themselves they'd still maintain a core of scientists at the upper levels to keep at least some scientific progress moving. Admittedly the history of the Bush administration has made me doubt that idea, but.. I still think that at the upper levels the leaders have to know that they're lying and are counting on maintaining a group of people not brainwashed to that extent. But for the peons like VenomFang, I think this is precisely what they want.  People with such badly mutilated rational processes that they can calmly explain that infinity is impossible, but eternity is perfectly acceptable because it happens OUTSIDE of the finite world.  Yes, that's a nugget of.. er.. something.. from the world of VFX. People like this don't question their leaders.  You get them supporting you and it doesn't matter what you do, or how badly you screw anything up.  They're the ideal followers for incompetent, corrupt leaders. It's like a clip I heard on the radio ages ago.  It was some NPR show, I think, and they were talking with little kids in a Jesus Camp type of place.  They asked a girl who had stated that she didn't think evolution was real what evidence she had for creationism.  Her answer was "the creator is in my heart". Imagine what you could be allowed to do if your followers accepted THAT as evidence.  They won't let little things like CIA intelligence reports or trillion dollar debts or 100,000+ dead people effect their opinion of the performance of their leaders.

Speaking as a Christian as well Kristine, I also agree with you. VenomFangX makes it out as if in order to be a true "born again believer" one has to accept the crap put out in his videos. He appears to be blissfully unaware that many Christians have no conflict at all with science, accepting both evolution and an ancient age for the Earth/Universe Apart from the Carl Baugh claims, all of what he has put out is merely recycled AiG material. Which is why I find the whole thing scary. AiG's aims and objectives may only come to fruition years from now. Is VenomFangX the first of many of these cretins ? Some time ago I witnessed a session by Mike Riddle speaking to what appeared to be hundreds of 10-14 year old kids in a Christian school (I think it's somewhere near washington possibly) and much of what was preached is on VenomFangX's Youtube videos. Talk about brainwashing. Still, we in NI are no better Kristine. We have our own VenomFangXs, and what's worse, they're actually in government running the place. With regard to water, he's obviosly never heard of Europa. Incredible stupididity. Still, since he seems to have aquired his knowledge from AiG, and what I would call a delusional creationist (Ken Ham) it doesn't surprise me. I even watched Ham spouting the same nonsense about Mt. St Helens today on television i.e. "a lot of water and a little bit of time" etc.
