We're still on, I assume? I'll try and arrive a few minutes early.  See you then.

How will you recognise each other?
A cuddly panda on the table?  A photo of Dembski in a vice?

Ah, well, we could PM photos of ourselves to each other. Or I could just bring my copy of Origin.

I haven't been checking that thread, but please count me in. 80%, anyway, as I need to check schedules with she who knows all things social (like, is there another wedding to attend? are we invited to dinner somewhere?).

I think one of my kids has a stuffed panda - not nearly as well-traveled as Prof. Steve Steve, but sufficient.  Either that, or I'll make a little table tent card with "AtBC" on it.

Either way, I'll be marked as a total tool, but whatever.

<Steviepinhead, looking through an old box for possible stuffed panda:>

The blindfold, plush-lined cuffs, and nipple clips go flyin'.  "Hmm, I thought my ex got rid of those long ago..."

Ah, getting warm--little stuffed hippo.

Warmer still, a round plastic penguin in a tux.

Cooler--old beat-up pinata.

Cooler still--chewed-up old dog toy, fortunately the old slime has all dried...

Dust balls and a couple of moth chrysalae.

Nope, no stuffed panda.

Maybe a table sign would be best after all.  Just expecting y'all to look for the old balding guy with grey in his beard wouldn't get us very far in Greenwood, where every third guy meets that description...

Or maybe we could wear some kind of pin-on tag, y'know, like "AFDave gives good tard..."

Nah, on second thought.

Not that I'm going to be there or anything, but y'all could, like, pring t-shirts with that lovely new portrait of DaveScott on them, and wear them to the shindig. . . naaah. People may get the wrong idea, like you're in a beer-drinking mystery cult with an anti-Bob figurehead or something like that. I'll get the Photoshop started, and the printer sheets for those zombie t-shirts my son makes. . . good times!

Just as a "professional" courtesy--not to mention payback for all that good tard that just keeps on coming--maybe we should extend an invite to the DI crowd.

Nah, why ruin a perfectly good tipple by inviting a bunch of stiffs.

Could make for a good drinking game.  Every time a DI hack says something stupid...

On the other hand, I have to walk a couple of dozen blocks afterwards.  I'd never make it.

Too bad that this is on the same weekend as the science blogging conference or Prof. Steve Steve may have been able to attend.

No wonder I couldn't find him in the box with the hippo and the penguin and, er, the other stuff...

Man, that little dude sure jets around!

I'll try to be there right on time, or a little before.

I'll be wearing a light grey Michigan State "Fencing" shirt under a brown pile jacket.

I'm in working on a Saturday, so I'll be in desperate need of "a" drink ( the singular includes the plural, as the statute writers say...).

Ah, Taunton's Blackthorn cider: I love it so!
