As a designer/artist, I consider myself a "Regular Joe".  I am, however, blessed (bad choice of words) with the ability to recognize both valid and invalid logic when presented in an argument.

Having said that, I am awe of what the scientific community has accomplished and what they have been able to explain and contribute.

Please persist, challenge, fight and take no prisoners when it comes to those who would impose their personal religious, factually unsupported beliefs on others, especially the children.  Their efforts to dumb down the next generation needs to be exposed and thwarted.

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading and learning from this blog and at times, throwing in my 2 cents without being made to feel a fool.

Please have a happy safe holiday season...whether it's Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, Festivus, Unholiday...or just that time year to wind down and enjoy your family.

Stephen

Indeed.

Enjoy the holiday of your choice, spend it with family (assuming those two are not mutually exclusive), don't drink and drive, use protection, wear the lamp-shade with the seam in the back, and may you all find stockings on the floor... er... may your stockings be filled with someone something lovely.

and I wish you all a Merry Christmas, even if you don't celebrate it, and a Happy (fill in the blank).  Unlike others, I'll avoid the temptation to bash others in this post.  See you next year.

Like Steverino, I'm not a scientist (I'm an engineer!) but I've read several copies of SciAm and took the SAT test (which confirmed my autodidactic proclivities) so I also know everything about biology, physics, paleontology and climatology, and am well-qualified to wish everyone here a merry Christmas and happy new year.  Homos.

Thanks, and Merry Xmas.

Sigh...I ate too many Christmas goodies and drank too much Christmas cheer earlier this evening, and now I have stomach ache and can't sleep.

Santa already stopped by earlier today and dumped a pool table in my basement...the boys jumped with glee, but we Santa ran out of money so he was only able to leave Mr. FtK and I a big bag of *magical* mistletoe, a bottle of wine, and some quite time since the boys were so enthralled with their new toy...worked for me. ;)

It's a lot of fun, always humorous, and often educational, to read the the contributions of the AtBC denizens.  Thanks very much for an entertaining 2007.

Sadly, I didn't what I wanted for Christmas: The Discovery[sic] Institute* did not relocate from Seattle to a small, windswept rock in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Merry Christmas to all of you. :)
